Our story started when founder, Tom Henderson, trained as a carpenter in Denmark. Drawn to the strong traditions of Northern Europe’s construction trades, he developed a keen appreciation for quality design and construction, and the importance of creating homes suited to their climate.
Referring to Canberra’s latitude, 35 Degrees is founded on the idea of creating high-quality, energy-efficient homes, designed specifically for the ACT region.
Our Approach
35 Degrees aims to make the design and construction process straightforward, clear and affordable, offering both bespoke and pre-designed options, all founded on these Design Principles.
Our clients can expect transparency and honesty in our dealings with them. They can also expect us to set their project up for success. We believe the best outcomes are achieved through a collaborative approach.

Our team has extensive design and construction experience both in Australia and overseas.
All construction staff are appropriately qualified and are members of the HIA & the MBA.
We also have a strong culture of promoting interest in energy-efficient design and construction, and investing in our staff, their knowledge and expertise.
